Job Title Project Manager
Location GA
  • This role is a cornerstone of the Professional Services organization. As the primary liaison between the customer and the XXXX technical team, the Project Manager should be conversant with all aspects of software delivery in a complex environment. Engagements within customers typically begin prior to license sale and will extend well after the software is placed into production.
  • Plan and organize work and coordinate activities with the Professional Services staff, the Development staff, our integration partners and the customer staff
  • Contribute to the overall planning of projects by recommending approaches, identifying resources, developing timelines, and commenting on plans
  • Own the project budget and P&L responsibility for the project
  • Actively participate in requirement gathering process using BAM (Business Analysis and Mapping) methodology
  • Identify and provide solutions to broad, complex/critical work and customer problems and issues
  • Use a high degree of insight, research and analytical skill to develop new or enhanced methods and techniques to resolve problems
  • Offer options, alternatives, effects, and implications to problems based on areas of expertise
  • Anticipate changes required in processes, project direction, and the need to change project plans
  • Highlight changes, providing alternatives on how to proceed and the likely impact
  • Lead work teams of various sizes on engagements
  • Plan and organize the work for the team
  • Determine, track, and report on priorities and project status
  • Manage engagement scope and customer expectations
  • Provide guidance, assistance, and training to team members and customer staff
  • Seek and develop methods and techniques to improve the process of delivering solutions to customers, while communicating information to team members
  • Contribute to sales activities, customer development, proposal development, and closing sales
  • Develop and foster a collaborative working relationship with customers
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, other project managers, and Corporate and Services staff to develop consulting and project methodology, techniques, tools, and solutions
Job Summary

    • BA, BS, Masters preferred

    • Minimum 5 years experience of the following:
    o Application software implementation experience and expertise in applying technology to meet customer needs
    o IT networking or Telecommunications experience
    • Minimum of 2 years experience with relevant telecom BSS/OSS applications
    • Detailed experience with project management methodologies and associated tools

    • Knowledge of data migration and system integration methodologies
    • Knowledge of software development life cycle
    • In-depth knowledge of the company Services (or generally accepted consulting) techniques, methods, processes, and practices
    • In-depth experience in business processes and skill in business analysis techniques
    • Ability to construct/maintain a project budget and manage project accordingly
    • Excellent oral presentation and written communications skills
    • Outstanding time management skills
    • Native or fluent English language as a principal business communication language
    • Ability to travel extensively for varying periods of time
