Responsibilites |
- As a sales engineer on the strategic business development team you will be responsible for helping close deals with new strategic business partners, including international OEM partners, Channel partners, and Resellers. You will also be responsible for supporting channel partners and OEMs, in local and international markets.
- An ideal candidate will be someone with previous experience in strategic sales engineering, with reseller, channel, and OEM partners at leading software as a service, online media, open source, CDN, or video technology company. However, we are also willing to consider applicants with very different backgrounds who are proven leaders in their field.
About the Strategic Team:
- The Strategic Business Development team thinks strategically and works to promote the future of online video.
- Our work includes forming new partnerships, packaging new products for specific channels and verticals, leading the partner program, developing operational processes around reseller and channel development, and examining innovative ways to work with the broader open source community.

Requirements |
Duties Include:
- Support new strategic partnerships that involve software licensing, content licensing, and monetization tools during pre-sales and contracting phases
- Help expand the reach of the company’s software in emerging media markets
- Manage and support Company’s channel partners
- Provide direct support to partner sales organizations through demonstrations, coordinating with technical pre-sales
- Identify new opportunities within partnerships and areas where Company’s can provide additional products and services
- Work directly with executives at partner companies to track results and clearly communicate findings to Company’s senior management
- Build community among partners and expand synergies between the Company’s community and partner programs
- Support the team on clearly defined revenue and business development goals
Skills:
- Degree from a top school + 3-5 years experience in technology companies or startups. Graduate degree preferred.
- Top performance in a sales engineering, partnership, or account management role
- Comfort working with multiple business models and understanding software contracts
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and executing on key revenue and expansion targets
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively, develop strategies, and lead client teams
- Experience in software design and system engineering in support of large deals
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail; top notch presentation skills
- Candidate must be results-oriented, pro-active, self-motivated, and be open to working in a dynamic and challenging environment where everyone "does it all" and works unconventional hours
- Must be willing to travel - domestically and internationally
